Language/Ski Trip for Year 9 to Morgins, Switzerland

6-14th March 2009

Monday - The weather has changed today and the boys experienced an alpine blizzard! It didn't seem to dampen their enthusiasm though. Some language groups are now going to the village in the  morning on treasure trails or to try their French in the local shops and information centre. Most of them are using their language skills in the afternoon as the ski instructors use french in the afternoon. Afternoon tea was followed by sledging and other snow activities and it not hard to get the boys asleep by 9.30pm!

Sunday - The weather has been spectacular with a little snow predicted for Monday and Tuesday. The boys were surprised when their language Tutors for the morning lessons became their Ski instructors in the afternoon! They are all now familiar with their equipment and are learning simple ski control techniques. It won't be long before they are on the more exciting slopes.

Saturday - The year 8 french trip arrived safely in Morgins in Switzerland after an excellent journey through the night. Boys have picked up their ski gear and are looking forward to language and ski lessons tomorrow. There is a lot of snow with more to come and conditions are excellent. Ski lessons are to be in french! - First photos are on line now!.
